I can’t retrace the steps exactly, but I happened upon Robert Harrison Architects Northwest Romantic Modernims today and was quite pleased by it. We’re sort of relegated to purchasing a craftsman style bungalow, but I share the sentiments expressed. And I don’t see any reason why an old house cannot evolve. That’s part of the fun, right?

Liked the article, especially the planted roofs section. Would be cool to find a house like that, or eventually build one. I think I might start looking for a house, unfortunately to rent, in my suburban hell…no craftsman bungalows for me…but I should look into it.
Listening to The Black Keys rendition of Junior Kimbrough’s “My Mind is Ramblin'”. Check it out if you get a chance, otherwise I’ll bring it with me next time I see you guys.
Oh, and you can preview the song at http://WWW.KEXP.ORG, Streaming Archive, Feb.7 2005, 10:30 p.m
We’re planting the roof of our hacienda some day — a spiral stairacse will be attached to the patio, so you won’t need to CWD(climb while drunk) unless you want to.
CWD is one of the few remaining vestiges of natural selection left in our society.
I love CWDing. Man I should do the whole planted roof thing, I’ve got a flat roof (or slightly tilted roof I guess)…hmmm. Ah one prject at a time I guess
dood – you’ve got a south facing roof too – you could probably get like a grant or something to turn your roof alive. I’ll look in to it.
