We acquired data from Skagit County GIS that were not in State Plane 1927, Washington North, so we had to project the data so that it would function with our datasets.

Projecting a coverage has been a major stumbling block in the past, but we recognized that the easting coordinates were the same as our State Plane 1927 Wa. North coverages. Gene, the invaluable resource that he is, informed us that many DNR coverages use State Plane Wa. South instead of North. Using ArcView's Projector! extension, we were able to correct this problem, and use the datasets.
